Inreviewing Paqui Sánchez.
After the visit to Greece carried out by some teachers from school
the second trip organized after
the previous trip to Slovakia by the Comenius project has concluded, which offers
a unique opportunity to interact with students and teachers from different nationalities
with a common goal, to acquire culture and learn ...
So we have interviewed one of the participants,
Paqui Sánchez, a teacher from our center.
1. Have you previously traveled to Greece? No, it was the first time I visited it, but I've always wanted to visit it.
2. What was the best place in Greece, in your opinion?I really saw very little of Greece, because we went to an island,Mytilene. The place I liked was the Acropolis. We visited it thelast day, in a few hours that we had nothing to do. I alsoliked the city of Petra.
3. What's the name of the place you have rested in Greece?Blue Sea Hotel in Mytilene, near the port.
4. Does this second experience, looked like the previous one in Slovakia? The experience is similar. Representatives from nine countries coexistingand working together on a common project. An interesting experiencein which you learn a lot.
5. This time, did you carry out different activities? What did you do?
Yes. Apart from meetings to organize theactivities to develop in each institute, we visited some wetlands, where we saw birds, we also visited the Petrified Forest, where we could see the fossilized remains of species over millions ofyears and the students were able to make cleaning jobsfossil. We visited two local touristic places, Petra and Molyvos.
Activities: the reception we organized at the Institute, wherethe students had prepared Greek popular dance exhibitions, and a theater for us. Another activity was the presentation ofour students about what we had worked in this firstphase.
6. Can you tell some funny story of the trip?
The truth is that I son't have anyone in particular. I'm sure that the students will have some. A funny story was when Antonio was exposing , his shoe fell ... but he solved the situation well.
7. What experience was better in your opinion, the trip to Slovakia or Greece?I can not compare, were different but equally rewarding.
8. How is Greek food?It looks quite like the Spanish, with lots of salads, vegetables andfish. The desserts were amazing. The association of parents andGreek high school mothers cooked us traditional dishes. We did not know howto choose ... everything was great.
9. Have you seen the participants of the trip to Slovakia in Greece? Most of them. Only completely changed the Dutch representation. But Yolanda, one of the members of the group, already known from the preparatory meeting inSpain was there too.
10. Being in Greece, do you feel the serious crisis that the country is facing? It is as in Spain, people talk about it, you see how some public building sites have been paralyzed or are very slow and you can feel the crisis if you talk to people, they tell you about the bad situation the country is going through and thepessimism with which they speak about the situation. They do not see a way out of it and they know that our situation is similar.
