Cubo de rubik

¿Qué es?

Es un puzzle con forma cúbica inventado por el arquitecto y escultor húngaro Erno Rubik en 1974,

llamado en los comienzos cubo mágico. La principal intención de Erno al crear este objeto era solventar el problema estructural de mover las partes individualmente sin que el mecanismo entero se desmontara. Rubik no se dio cuenta de que había inventado un rompecabezas hasta que por primera vez lo mezcló y no supo volver a montarlo. En septiembre de 1979 se acordó con Ideal Toys llevar el Cubo mágico a todo el mundo y convertirlo en un producto comercial.

Ideal Toys determinó renovar el nombre; se consideraron el "El Nudo Gordiano" y "Oro Inca", pero finalmente se arriesgaron con "El cubo de Rubik".

MECANISMO

Un cubo de Rubik común mide 5.7 cm cada lado. Esta invención esta formada por 26 piezas, de las cuales seis de ellas son centros, son estáticas y son de un solo color, doce piezas que muestran dos caras coloreadas y se llaman aristas, y ocho piezas que muestran tres caras coloreadas, llamadas esquinas. Todas estas están enlazadas a un mecanismo interior plástico que permite el movimiento de las piezas sin la ruptura de las mismas.

TIPOS

Cuando se habla del Cubo de Rubik se piensa en el de 3x3x3 pero no solo existe ese tipo, existen muchos más como los de 2x2x2, 4x4x4, 5x5x5, 6x6x6...

What is it?

It is a puzzle invented by the Hungarian architect and sculptor ErnoRubik in 1974,

called in the begginings magic cube. The primary intention of Erno to create this object was to solve the structural problem

of moving parts individually without making the whole mechanism dismount. Rubik did not realize that he had invented a puzzle until he first mixed it and did not know how to reassembly. In September 1979 he agreed with Ideal Toys to take the Magic Cube all around the world and make it a comercial product.

Ideal Toys decided to renew the name, "Gordian Knot" and "Inca Gold" were some of the many options, but finally they dicided to call it "Rubik's Cube."
